Detailed information (adapted from the source "Vlastivěda Lanškrounska"):
The village Krasíkov situated near river Moravská Sázava, 14 km in south east of the town Lanškroun belongs to the Moravian villages of the region. The oldest history of the village Krasíkov is closely connected to the Augustinian monastery Crown of Holy Virgin (in Latin Corona sanctae Mariae) founded on a hill around which flows the river Moravská Sázava above the village. By a deed of 26th April 1267 Boreš z Rýzmburka donated to the hermit brothers a part of its Moravská Třebová domain and he contributed to the foundation of the oldest Moravian monastery of the Augustinian hermit brothers. The actual monastery was founded shortly after.Obec
The property of the monastery was enriched by another donation of Boreš z Rýzmburka in 1275. He donated to Augustinian monks, among other properties, hill and wood between the village Krasíkov and river Sázava, 20 hides in Třebařov, including a privileged mill and the river form the mill to the border of his domain. In the deed of 1275 there is the first written reference to the village Krasíkov that was called in those times Budíkov (Vudicdorf). The name Krasíkov (Crasikow) was used for the first time in 1360. For the settlements on Czech-German border is quite usual to have two names, Czech and German, which are not translations or garbles.
In the first half of the 14th century, one part of the village Krasíkov belonged to the monastery, the other part belonged to the Zábřeh domain. In 1398 the part of the village Krasíkov, called Žitná, was pledged in favour of Augustinian monks and they owned the entire village.
Around 1421 the hermit monks were forced to leave the monastery to a safer monastery in Brno. Although they tried to restore their activities in monastery Koruna (they were supported by monks from Brno), finally they did not succeeded. Most of the property was seized. The remaining parts were sold in order to finance the day-to-day management of the monastery. In 1444 monks returned to Brno where they instituted legal proceedings in order to acquire their property. Despite of these attempts, their property was used by the house Tunklové z Brníčka until 1460’s. According to the last will of Jan Tunkl from 1466, his son Jiří should have returned to Augustinian monks so that they could settle in Koruna again. Jiří returned remaining incomes, grounds and ponds, including the village Krasíkov in 1477.However, the Augustinian monks exchanged these properties for a half of the village Závořice belonging to Jiří Tunkl.Obec
In 1513 the patrimony of the house Tunkl, including repairs of the monastery, was bought by Ladislav z Boskovic (died in 1520). His protection guaranteed more peaceful times for Augustinian monks. When the last prior of the monastery Crown of Holy Virgin Filip Goesswein was elected as the prior of monastery in Brno in 1542, the monastery was seized by the zealous lutheran Kryštof z Boskovic. All efforts to acquire the monastery were in vain and since mid-16th century the monastery Crown of Holy Virgin has been abandoned.
However, the village Krasíkov remained property of Augustinian monks and belonged to the monastery in Jevíčko until it was dissolved (in 1784).The religious fund, managing the property of the dissolved monastery, sold the village Krasíkov to the Prince Alois Josef z Lichtenštejna who integrated it into his Moravská Třebová domain. Only after this period, the village Krasíkov and other villages in the current Czech part of the region had the same proprietor. .
Today, the prominent ruins of the former monastery Crown of Holy Virgin on the hill above the river are preserved. The name of the perished monastery took over the settlement founded on the grounds of the former monastery farm that was partitioned in 1771.
