As stream, the upstream as far as Albrechtice flows through picturesque Sázava Valley, then calmly runs through Lanškroun Basin and near Krasíkov enters the important transport valley (railway Praha – Česká Třebová – Bohumín) that separates northern part of Zábřežská Highlands from south-western part of Hanušovická Highlands. Near Hoštejn Moravská Sázava River takes Březná Rivulet (that flows from Kladská Basin) from left side. In Hoštejn we can find ruins of castle from 13th century.
Between Hoštejn and Zábřeh this river flows through romantic valley that is part of Březina Natural Park and near Zábřeh it enters the Hornomoravský Hollow.
