In 1507, when Pernštejn family acquired this building, it was called “chateau”. In 1588, they sold it to Adam Hrzán z Harasova. In that time, administration of vast Lanškroun-Lanšperk manor was situated in the chateau and it served also as a residence of its owner who approached Renaissance rebuilding. This rebuilding is reminded by entrance portal with coat of arms of Hrzán z Harasova and date of completion of reconstruction 1601 and well-preserved window and door Renaissance reveal. In 1622, Lichtenštejn family bought this chateau. During 30-years war, it was damaged by Swedes and in 1645 it was damaged by fire. Its renewal was finished only in 1716. One-story Baroque building was added to southern wing and first-floor buildings on the courtyard with chateau. However, reconstructed chateau served only as seat of administration of Lanškroun manor and dwelling of clerks.
