Region Lanškrounsko

Valley of Čenkovička Brook from village Čenkovice to Bystřec: Narrow wetland of winding brook with water-logged meadows is ideal ecotope of spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum). We can find its several thousand population in areal even mass presence. Even though the meadows are not regularly reaped, state of protected area is good.

Fauna of Čenkovička natural monument is represented by common species of woods and wood periphery, especially avifauna subject to running water. Gray wagtail (Motacilla cinerea), water ouzel (Cinclus cinclus) and winter wren (Troglodytes troglodytes) sporadically occur.

Natural monument established by Ústí nad Orlicí District National Committee on 14th December 1989.
Area: 7.12 ha; cadastral territory: Čenkovice, Bystřec
Protection reason:
preservation and expansion of very rich locality of spring snowflake.
