Brook wetland with winding bed and damp and in several places peat meadows is ideal biotope of very plentiful spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum). Apart from spring snowflake we can find here also endangered keyflower (Dactylirhiza majalis) and other rare plants.

Fauna is represented by common species, especially avifauna subject to running water. Sporadically we can find gray wagtail (Motacilla cinerea) and house wren (Troglodytes troglodytes) and also robin red breast (Erithacus rubecula), warbler (Sylvia sp.) and titmice (Parus sp.). This locality follows in natural reservation Selský les and partially is situated in its protected zone.
